Now I lay me down to sleep: The “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep” (NILMDTS) Foundation is there for parents and families to help aid them in their healing and bring hope to their future through remembrance photography, and honor their child. It is through remembrance that a family can truly begin to heal.”
NILMDTS is a nonprofit organization that has provided thousands of families of babies who are stillborn with free professional portraits with their baby. *While the heart and mission of this foundation is that no family would go without remembrance images, some guidelines do apply: *(Babies must have reached a 25-week minimum gestational age. In addition to this requirement, each baby’s condition is evaluated to ensure that our photographers can capture a good photograph. Although our volunteer photographers are used to seeing many of the anomalies that certain conditions result in, they are not medical professionals and so to retain our volunteers we do ask for the hospital to assess the condition of each baby before we attempt to find a volunteer photographer. We may have a limited number of volunteers in some areas.)
